Flowers actinomorphic, narrowly or broadly funnel shaped; erect or spreading; perianth tube short, cylindric or bell-shaped. Fruit usually fleshy, ovoid to globose; white, orange or pink; often aromatic when ripe. Seeds ovoid, fleshy; red, green or cream.
