Description: |
Rhizomatous perennial. Culms 20–100 cm. high, decumbent below. Leaf laminae linear to broadly linear, flat or convolute, 1–8 mm. wide, glabrous or pubescent, without cross-nerves, the base as wide as the sheath or slightly cordate. Inflorescence 5–25 cm. long, the racemes 2–8 cm. long mostly rather short and appressed to the central axis. Spikelets 4–4.8 mm. long, oblong. Glumes not separated, the superior glume and inferior lemma distinctly nipped at the apex. |
