Description: |
Perennial. Culms 80–150 cm. long, spongy, rooting at the nodes. Panicle 10–25 cm. long, narrowly ovate. Spikelets 8–10 mm. long. Inferior glume usually 1–2 mm. long and obtuse, rarely longer and acute; superior glume scabrid on lateral nerves, tipped by an awn 6–18 mm. long. Superior floret 4–5 mm. long, acuminate. |
