Description: |
Loosely tufted perennial. Culms 50–110 cm. high. Leaf laminae 2–6 mm. wide, linear, not plicate. Panicle 15–30 cm. long, narrowly oblong to narrowly ovate, primary branches flexuous, the spikelets borne on secondary branches, these puberulous; bristles 3–20 mm. long. Spikelets 3–4 mm. long, narrowly ovate-elliptic, acute. Glumes acute, the inferior 1/3–1/2, the superior 2/3–3/4 as long as spikelet. Inferior lemma not or weakly sulcate. Superior lemma smooth above, indistinctly rugose below. |
