Description: |
Annual or short-lived perennial, sometimes producing small stolons; culms tufted, 18─68 cm long, 1.3 mm wide, 3-angled, smooth. Inflorescence capitate or simple. Spikelets crowded in dense digitate clusters, sessile or at the ends of primary branches. var. laxiflorus: Inflorescence simple; spikelets clustered at end of primary branches on elongated axis, primary branches 2.7─8 cm long. |
