Description: |
Dwarf suffrutex, normally less than 20 cm, forming dense carpets from an extensive underground stem and root system. Leaves more or less elliptic with distinct whitish undersides. Inflorescences terminal and axillary, borne almost at ground level. Flowers small, white; calyx densely hairy, sand-coloured. This species is very similar in many aspects to the closely related P. curatellifolia, except for its entirely different growth habit. |
