Description:
Semi-prostrate annual herb. Leaves imparipinnate with 3-7 leaflets; leaflets narrowly ovate-elliptic, with appressed whitish hairs, especially below. Flowers in axillary spikes, bright pink to almost red. Pod curved, slightly constricted over the seeds, tipped by the recurved remains of the style, covered with appressed whitish hairs, straw-coloured when ripe.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: holubii: named after Emil Holub (1847-1902), Czechoslovakian medical docter, traveller and naturalist, who collected many plants in South Africa.
