Description: |
Shrub or small tree with corky bark. Leaves alternate, compound, normally with 4 to 8 pairs of leaflets and a terminal leaflet. The leaves are covered in silky hairs. Flowers in pseudo-racemes mauve to purple. The pods are covered in golden-brown velvety hairs, turning grey when old. Last year's pods often remain on the tree at the next flowering time. A very attractive tree. |
