Description: |
This species resembles both Melhania randii and M. prostrata. Leaves are hairy on both surfaces like in M. randii but the flowers are almost twice the size of those of M. randii, the sepals being c. 1ยท6 cm long. Epicalyx bracts lanceolate-acuminate. It differs from both M. randii and M. prostrata in having epicalyx lobes only about half the length of the sepals; having the peduncles shorter than, or only slightly exceeding, the petioles in length and leaf-margins usually dentate, especially towards the apex. |
