Description: |
Shrub or bushy tree, 2-10 m. Leaves simple; petiole 5-15 mm; lamina 4.5-14 × 2.5-7.5 cm, elliptic to ovate, glabrous or pubescent and glabrescent above, softly hispid beneath; base acute; apex rounded, acuminate or apiculate; margin entire. Inflorescence a terminal, few-several-flowered cyme with pedicels 2-16 mm. Corolla lobes (5-)6(-7), 5-8 mm, each with an area of dark hairs extending almost to petal margins. Anthers 2-3 mm. Fruit a pear-shaped capsule, 4-6 cm, containing 4 winged seeds. |
