Erect annual herb 3.5–20 cm tall. Stem slender, unbranched or 2–3 branched. Leaves lanceolate to narrowly-ovate, 1–5 mm long, the lower ones reduced and scale-like. Flowers whitish or lemon yellow to yellow, solitary or in few-flowered heads; pedicels 1–5 mm long. Calyx with a very short tube; lobes 5, ovate-lanceolate to lanceolate, 3–5 mm long, winged on the keel, with hyaline margins. Corolla tube cylindric or funnel-shaped, 3–5 mm long; lobes 5, ovate-lanceolate to oblong-ovate, 2–5.5 mm long. Stamens inserted in the corolla-sinuses. Capsule ellipsoid, 2–2.5 mm long. |
