Description: |
Shrub or small tree with arching branches. Bark light to dark grey, smooth. Leaves more or less broadly obovate, 4-12 cm long, dark green above, paler below, with soft or scabrid, appressed hairs on both surfaces, lateral veins and net-veining conspicuous; margin entire or with a few widely spaced teeth near the apex. Flowers in terminal heads, white, funnel-shaped, c. 1 cm in diameter, appearing before or with the new leaves. Fruit fleshy, spherical, 5-7 mm in diameter, red when ripe. |
