Description: |
Bushy perennial herb, up to c. 60 cm tall, growing from a woody taproot. Most parts puberulous with short stiff, glandular hairs. Stems branching near the base; branches erect or spreading, sometimes slightly 4-angled. Leaves opposite, subsessile or shortly petiolate, bright green, 1-5 cm long, deeply pinnately lobed with lobes mostly narrowly oblong to linear, up to 2 cm long. Inflorescences in terminal spikes, up to 6.5 cm long; bracts 4-5 mm long, linear lanceolate. Calyx 10-14 mm long, straight. Corolla short-lived, cream to yellowish-green; tube slender, 1.8-2.5 cm long, abruptly expanding into a flat, 5-lobed limb. |
