Description:	Shrubby perennial up to c. 75 cm tall. Leaves opposite, more or less narrowly ovate, velvety; margin entire. Flowers axillary. Enlarged calyx lobes ovate, velvety; margin entire, without spines. Corolla pale mauve with a white centre. stamens and style exserted from the corolla.
Notes:	It is listed in the Preliminary checklist of the plants of Botswana (Setshogo, M.P., 2005: 17) as possibly occurring in Botswana
