The following notes are somewhat provisional. Somewhat similar to S. inornatus, but less tall (to 1.2 m); basal leaves not prominent (perhaps even absent at flowering time - and certainly rarely collected); bracts of calyculus 6-7; ray-florets 9-12.The peak flowering time, per the specimens in SRGH, is April - May, somewhat later than inornatus. |
