Description:	Compact spiny subshrub 20-50 cm tall. Axillary spines 2-4-rayed. Leaves 2.7-6.3 cm long, narrowly oblong or oblanceolate; leaves and bracts without a thickened white rim, subequal, with numerous broad sessile glands beneath towards the base. Inflorescence axillary; flowers solitary. Corolla 29-34 mm long, yellow, glabrous externally; tube 10.5-13 mm long; limb zygomorphic in a 4+1 arrangement. Ovary glabrous. Capsule 13-17 mm, glabrous.
