Fruit small, 4 winged pods, cream in colour when dry. Seeds small, round in outline, flat, black. Underground organ small tubers interconnected, smooth brown roots extending from the tuber.

Flowers yellowish, cone-shaped with elongated fingerlike petals. Sepals short, reduced, green. Roots dark brown to red, papery.
