Description: |
Branched perennial herb, up to 30 cm high, most parts greyish hairy. Leaves broadly oblong-elliptic, up to 3 cm long; margin coarsely crenate-dentate; petiole up to 1.3 cm long. Flowers in the upper leaf axils. Epicalyx bracts linear-subulate. Sepals lanceolate, pointed. Petals bright yellow, broadly obovate; style 1-2 mm long. Fruit, ovoid, greyish hairy hairy. |
Notes: | This species is generally very similar to Melhania rehmannii but can be distinguished by the epicalyx bracts always being linear-subulate, never ovate. |
